Leather Paint can be used on any leather item including; Furniture & upholstery, shoes, sneakers & all other footwear, handbags, car interiors, motorbike leathers, clothing and any other item made from leather! One thing to note, the red crosses on all military trainers indicating the first aid kit location externally changed from red to green in the late 70's come 80's as it was realised it was illegal to fire on an aircraft carrying the red cross under the Geneva Convention.... not a lot of people know that :)Paint on a second coat of sealant, if desired. How many coats you choose to do is entirely up to you, but 2 coats of sealant on your soles will give you more protection than just 1. Just make sure you wait at least 15-20 minutes for each coat to dry. First, you need your tools. A hard brush, a soft brush made from something like horse hair, and a microfibre cloth.

In episode 2, Trey, Assistant Director of Schools at Shoe Surgeon, walks us through the basics of how to paint sneakers using the Nike x Sacai Blazer, including how to properly prep them. Watch the full video below and keep reading for more in-depth instructions. Start with the sole, as its uniform shape makes it an easy part of the shoe to get used to the process. Leaving a little flap of tape hanging over the top, apply masking tape around the entire surface of the sole. Then, push down and roll over the excess tape to completely protect the upper edge of the sole. You may need different brush sizes for different areas of the sneakers, so have a kit of various sizes handy. Here are some photos of the amazing and creative work our customers have achieved using our Leather Paint. Leather paint for shoesPainting was the tool I used to customise some of my first sneakers. The first pair of shoes I customised was an all-white Air Force 1 mid, turned into camouflage print using “model” paint and an airbrush when I was in high school. After that, I was on my journey of quality to find a higher durability paint that was more specific to leather and fabrics.’ Dominic Ciambrone aka The Shoe Surgeon To get rid of grass stains on white leather trainers or tennis shoes, try spraying the stained area with a few drops of WD-40 and wiping with a clean cloth, the Good Housekeeping Institute experts advise. Airbrushing is similar to spray paint but in a much more controlled setting. You don’t physically touch the shoe when airbrushing so it’s easier to blend colours or create gradients. With hand painting, you physically brush the paint onto the shoe; this is better for applying fine details, designs, or artwork.’ Our Leather Paint is designed to paint custom designs onto leather.
