Do not allow water or other liquid or objects to get inside the rear port tubes. The Music System Three+ should not be immersed in water or held under running water. It also should not be exposed to extreme temperatures. The Music System Three+ is designed to be portable, but it is not indestructible. Do not drop it, throw it, or subject it to strong impacts. Always grip the Music System Three+ using the integrated carry handle to reduce the chance of it slipping out of your hand. One thing to keep in mind is that although the Music System BT can provide decent sound, it is a compact system and isn’t going to provide the same listening experience as a high-end 2-channel audio system with good bookshelf or floor standing speakers and a separate subwoofer. If you push the volume and bass level controls to their limit you will hear some distortion. However, it does save space as a self-contained system. I have 2 of the Tivoli Kloss Ones also - a great looking radio...and that is why I bought this. It looks retro, but has modern features.

Having Chromecast built-in allows you to cast easily from your phone or tablet to the Tivoli. This makes it obvious why Tivoli haven’t produced their own companion app to go along with the Music System Home. You can cast from whatever you choose, so for me, I would like, for example, to listen to BBC Radio on this kind of device. Being in France this has to be via the internet so the easiest way to do it is to use the BBC Sounds app and go for live radio from there. Handily the BBC Sounds app also opens up a world of music and podcasts so there is a lot of content to keep you interested and to simply cast to the Music System Home Gen 2. One issue that I did have was a lot of dropouts when listening to radio via android and Chromecast casting to the Tivoli. It comes with a nice little remote, that actually has a decent weight to it, along with FM and AM antennae. It also has a wired 3.5mm aux input, optical and an ethernet port for wired internet connection instead of WiFi. Firmware updates are automatic. SET UP

As for the alarm and radio functions here, they are perfectly serviceable. You can set up to two alarms at once, which are loud enough that you definitely won't have any trouble hearing them. And the AM/FM radio tuner delivered solid audio where I tested in midtown Manhattan, without needing to pull out and raise the rear antenna.
