Description

I’m not even sure college experiences as well as sorority and frat houses are anything like what this book portrays anymore. Maybe to some extent. In any case, I think I’ve outgrown high school/college romances. Gimme the real deal cause this ain’t it! It was so much fun reading about these 4 couples again! I forgot how ridiculous and hilarious the boys are when they’re all together. My favorite novella was Logan and Grace’s (though I believe this has been published before, I’ve just never read it) and my least favorite was Garrett and Hannah’s. All 4 novellas are basically extended epilogues of the Off-Campus books and are very marriage/baby centered. If you love the series and want to see what these characters are up to years later, you need to read this! Amongst my favored features of this publication was Taylor. Taylor isn’t your run of the mill, cookie cutter heroines. She’s a curved woman in addition to she has her insecurities. You do not continuously have these kind of relatable characters, especially in brand-new grown- up so it acted to see. I liked precisely how Conor had a look at her in addition to treated her and as a result it made her see herself in an entire brand-new light.

Come on, Abs. Getting date-raped isn’t a party game.” Sasha steps forward, shielding me with her body. My favourite scene from the whole book was when Connor’s step father come to see him. That got me right in the feels. 😭 Debauched hoots and catcalls burst from the men still watching this display of female aggression play out. Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it's fun to pull the wool over my frenemies' eyes. Being bullied in her sorority at Briar U is nothing new for her. Neither are the douchebags that talk to her cleavage instead of her face.

Success!

This is the magic of the Briar U books. What a magnificent capstone to a fantastic series. I'm so sad to leave it behind, but am so thrilled that I was along for the entire ride - leaving pieces of my heart with every couple, in every story, and taking pieces of those stories forward with me. This is the best of romance, right here. And if there's a chance I've left any doubt in your mind? I cannot recommend it highly enough! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars The romance in The Darewas really enjoyable. I liked that Taylor and Conor were friends before anything. It added something more to their romance and I loved that. They were adorable together, it just made me smile. I love the fake dating trope and this was a fun way to look at it. The chemistry is very clear from the start and the reader gets to see both Taylor and Conor fall for one another.

Logan and Grace — 2★. They are my second favorite couple and this part could have rated higher if not for the recycling of the previous Christmas story. Anyway, the added parts were good so I don't have much to complain about here. I kinda forgot how dorky Logan and Grace are, but they are so so cute I could take these silly stories forever! Also, John Logan finally being happy? that's all i needed to know. There are things that I still liked. I mean, I genuinely liked Conor. And the way his story unfolded was satisfying. Not my favorite EK hero but I liked him a lot. This does deal with issues/triggers of mental health, acceptance, family, love, body image and more. It had a little bit of everything. I have to chomp down on my bottom lip to stop from laughing at Sasha’s retort. She knows I disintegrate amid conflict and never shies away from a chance to trade barbs in my defense. Garrett’s fingers tangle in my hair. He pulls away for a moment to meet my eyes, staring at me with an expression I’ve never seen before. My breath catches.I think each author should read this and take notes on how NOT to write a novella for their characters. It will leave them an invaluable lesson I believe. Wanna dance?” he then asks, leaning toward my chest like he’s speaking into the box at a fast food drive-thru. Abigail’s a mean drunk, and I’m her favorite target. I’m used to it from her, but the laughs she elicits every time she uses my body as a punchline never fail to leave a scar. My curves have been the bane of my existence since I was twelve years old. logan & grace - nothing really happened and i don't like how the chapter ended without us hearing any vows or shit???? like wtf their part consisted of nothing but drama An unexpected fake relationship trope romance in which will have your heart melting and wanting so much more...
