About this deal

Over the last 20 years, as a journalist and an academic, I’ve read every file in these UFO archives. In my new book I have collected the best drawings and photographs. a b c d e f g h i j k l m n Scott-Blair, Michael (13 August 2003). "Palomar campground expanding its universe". The San Diego Union-Tribune. Archived from the original on 26 December 2005 . Retrieved 27 April 2007. Science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke referred to ufologists as suffering from Adamski's disease in his novel 3001: The Final Odyssey. In 1952, one George Adamski ran into Orthon, a five-feet-six-inch humanoid in a brown jumpsuit who hailed from Venus. More than any other photographs of extraterrestrial space craft, George Adamski’s have always been a bone of contention, mostly because of the way sceptics have set up their argument: UFO photos that are fuzzy don’t prove anything (1950s: Weather balloon! 2010s: Drone!), and if they are detailed they are simply too good to be true, so they must have been faked.

I showed this picture to a meteorologist and they said it was an iridescent ice cloud. About 10% of the reports in the UFO archives can be explained by showing rare natural phenomena like this.It was in November 1952, in a remote patch of California desert, that Adamski came face to face with his supposed visitor from Venus. “The beauty of his form surpassed anything I had ever seen,” Adamski wrote. “And the pleasantness of his face freed me of all thought of my personal self. I felt like a little child in the presence of one with great wisdom and much love…” Leslie, Desmond; Adamski, George (1953). Flying Saucers Have Landed. New York: British Book Centre. In the Transformers toy line, the Transformer Cosmos (Transformers) transforms into an Adamski-style Haunebu saucer. The Japanese toy even uses "Adams" as its name. Adamski was born in Bromberg in the Kingdom of Prussia, German Empire. He was one of five siblings born to ethnic Polish parents, Józef Adamski (1867–1937) and Franciszka Adamska (1862–1946). [6] In the same documentary Bob Oeschler, not a photography expert but a NASA physicist and Mission Specialist, had this to say about the Silver Spring footage (the ‘Rodeffer film’): His next sighting came in August 1947. This time, it wasn’t just a single object but a procession of them—at least 184 by his count. Then, in late 1949, at what he said was the urging of the U.S. military, he attached a camera to his six-inch telescope and began scanning the skies at every opportunity. Soon he had what he considered two good UFO pictures.
